Dunton Bassett Tunnel is a short tunnel located on the former Great Cnetral Mainline located near Lutterworth. The tunnel is 99 yards long and opened to trains in 1899. It was closed in 1964. It was built in the same architectural style as the other tunnels on the route, with a hoop-profile, curving in at the base and finished in Staffordshire Blue Bricks. It is partly blocked by a collapsed fence and bank at the south, but open to the north. It is located adjacent to the M1 motorway.
