There are two tunnels on the Brecon and Merthry Railway between Dowlais and Brecon. The 674 yd Tal-y-llyn tunnel is a single track, dead straight tunnel is now bricked up/grated so access is impossible. The eastern end, including the former Tal-y-llyn station is privately owned and inaccessible. Access is possible to the western portal, and photos can be taken through the grille.
